Swim
Comments: Since this was my first race that included a swim and I was using this a gauage to ensure 1. I wouldn't drown and 2. where I am with my swimming. While I may be slow as molasses, I'm happy with myself for accomplishing this! What would you do differently?: Get my butt in the pool sooner than 2 weeks before the race. Transition 1
Comments: This was actually a run to swim transition. I was told to carry my cap and goggles but I have huge issues with carrying anything in my hands while running so I left my stuff with some other guys (as I had already checked my bag in.) Run
Comments: I couldn't be more happy with my run as I was in the front of the pack. Post race
Warm down: Walking around with hubby and kiddo. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of swim training/experience. Event comments: Being my first biathlon I don't really have anything to compare it to so I didn't rate it. It was very small which was great since I was using this to get my feet wet ;) Last updated: 2009-03-05 12:00 AM

Not so much a routine as just getting my and families butts out the door. Once there, they dropped me off then went and parked which worked out perfectly ~ there were no lines to wait in to get swim cap and body marking. Then I walked and looked around (aimlessly) trying to figure out how/where/what everything was and what I had to do.
Walked around, ran to the bathroom (literally! I was afraid I'd miss the start), and stretched.
