Swim
Comments: Navigation was not easy because of the waves but I never really got off course. Transition 1
Comments: Used a wetsuit stripper. Transition was unique do to the bag system but I was ok with my time. What would you do differently?: Continue to work on mounting the bike. Bike
What would you do differently?: dismont ... Transition 2
Comments: This was a good and fast transition considering I stopped to go to the bathroom. Run
Comments: I hooked up with a woman named Rebecca on the second loop. Rebecca was doing the run walk system. Every time she would walk I would almost catch her. At about mile 10 she was walking and I caught up to her. As I came along side her I said "don't you give up on me" and she started to run with me. When we got to the top of the next hill she started to fly down the hill. So I stayed with her. We ran the last 3 miles together and passed a lot of people heading toward the finish chute. Post race
Event comments: This was a well organized race. However, I don't think I will do it again mainly because of the additional logistics needed because of the two transition areas. Last updated: 2009-03-05 12:00 AM
