Run
Comments: This was an unexpectedly strong run for me.. run training mileage has been down, and I'm just getting over being sick. But the conditions couldn't have been better, and it's a flat, fast, and interesting course. First couple of miles were in the 7:40-7:50 range, then settled in to a 7:30ish pace for the middle six miles, then picked in up to 7:15-7:20 for the last two miles or so. One of those nice days where it just felt pretty good the entire race. The volunteers were also terrific- miles were well marked, and aid stations were extremely well organized. What would you do differently?: A little more warm-up. Maybe not wake up so early. Post race
Warm down: Walked back to the metro and headed home. Event comments: I was very impressed with the organization and execution of this race. The pre-race communications were also very well done, and logistics were clearly described in both the e-mails and website. The only thing that was a minor hassle was the post-race bag check- seems like that could have been organized a little better. And the t-shirt is going immediately to the rag pile (though I didn't pay for the upgraded tech shirt). Definitely will do this one again. Last updated: 2009-03-07 12:00 AM

Early morning metro- arrived about an hour before race start. Didn't see anyone else from the work team, but not surprising given the number of people.
Not much.
