Swim
Comments: Oh my god was the water cold. And wavy. More than one lungful of lake. Almost barfed once because of a wave splashing into my mouth. Still according to the clock was out of the water, on the steps, at 31 minutes. Then caught the bus to transition area, hence the 34. Lots and lots of traffic. Couldnt see anything. Last year at least the water was calm and clear and you could see people. Either more people stopped to float or do breast stroke this year, or I just ran into everyone who did. Transition 1
Comments: Took my time. Was so cold from the swim, even with wetsuit. In retrospect could have putzed around less Bike
Comments: 2x up and down LSD. Nasty Nasty wind out of the north. Many gusts. Wind was worse than Bangs Lake a few weeks ago. Little ring going north, flying south. Hit 30+ couple times. Transition 2
Comments: Little streching, used facilities, prayed for a good run. Run
Comments: Not bad at all. Really held back on bike given what happened at Bangs Lake. Experienced no cramps in legs. Was afraid of getting cramps, so I held back first half. Second half I went a little quicker and walked less. Post race
Warm down: Gather things and leave What limited your ability to perform faster: wind Event comments: Very fun, very crowded, very windy. But, you simply cannot beat riding your bike on LSD. Last updated: 2009-03-11 12:00 AM

? Was freezing. People were huddled in piles to stay warm. Cold winds out of the north never let up.
