Total Time = 1h 02m 16s
Overall Rank = 16/166
Age Group = 30-39
Age Group Rank = 3/24
Pre-race routine:

Woke up. Load family in car. Gave wife express instructions to wife to watch kids around the bikes. Got McDonals and drove to the race
Event warmup:

Ran about 1/4 mile and stretched.
Swim
  • 06m 12s
  • 375 yards
  • 01m 39s / 100 yards
Comments:

Decent swim considering lack of training. Did not push too hard because I wanted to have a balance day and did not want to blow up in the water.
What would you do differently?:

Train more.
Transition 1
  • 01m 27s
Comments:

Estime of time. Results did not show transitions but when I exited pool I saw 6:00 on my watch and had total swim time of 7:18.
What would you do differently?:

Did not really move that fast. Put shoes on in transition because I had heard there was a big hill right out of T1 and did not want to get stuck. Hill was actually a little ways away and since I did not scout out the course before this cost me some time in transition.
Bike
  • 30m 18s
  • 9.79 miles
  • 19.39 mile/hr
Comments:

Decent ride considering, again, lack of training. By the 2 lap the course was pretty crowded. Passed alot of people but never knew if you were actually catching anyone.
What would you do differently?:

Train more.
Transition 2
  • 00m 15s
Comments:

Good transition but it was a small transition area so easy to have fast time. (time was an estimate though).
What would you do differently?:

Not much.
Run
  • 24m 32s
  • 2.85 miles
  • 08m 37s  min/mile
Comments:

Crappy run compared to swim and bike. Walked the second hill near the end but considering this was my first brick since last year I felt decent. Next race will be better.
What would you do differently?:

Train more.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training, moving across the country, buying a house and driving 2:20 a day to work for 3 months. All that is behind me though so no more excuses.

Event comments:

Good race definately would do it again.
