Comments: Everything went well in the beginning. The hills did not seem to affect me considering I trained on a very very flat course. Knee started to hurt and mile 8 but I said some prayers and pushed through and it stopped until mile 19 where I lost my 4hr pace group and had to walk. Strategy changed from do this in under four hours to just finish just finish. Started walking at the water area's and a minute at each mile marker. Charged the hill where my Bro was yelling "don't stop take this hill". What would you do differently?: Train better. Post race

Had some gatorade as my Brother drove to the springfield metro station. Got off at Arlington and walked down to starting line. Plenty of time it was cold and dark. Got some water about 30 minutes before the start and downed a powerbar gel pack.
Walked around a lot.
