Swim
Comments: did not pace myself well, started too fast (or working too hard) and got too tired half-way through What would you do differently?: try to stay more relaxed and steady in the beginning, keep working on stroke to be more efficient Transition 1
Comments: time is an estimate as this was included in the posted swim times, put one sock on upside down and struggled with it, otherwise good What would you do differently?: go without socks if possible, set them up better if needed Bike
Comments: need to build mileage and get stronger, also need aerobars and water system What would you do differently?: increase fitness, loose weight, improve equipment Transition 2
Comments: had left shoe laced too tight, struggled to get it on What would you do differently?: learn to take shoes off on bike, fix laces Run
Comments: started slow and weak, took two walk breaks, hard to control breathing in the beginning What would you do differently?: practice more bricks Post race
Warm down: drank a bunch of water, ate some trail mix What limited your ability to perform faster: fitness level, swimming ability, bike equipment Event comments: This race was really fun and well organized for a local race. The awards and the refreshments were basic but nice. This was a great confidence builder and lots of great sportsmanship and supportive spirit. Last updated: 2009-03-14 12:00 AM
