Pre-race routine:

Nothing. Just ate some cereal and then relaxed and watched some TV. The race didn't start until 11:00 am

Tyra and I ran from the car down to the Surf Club.

Comments:

I felt really good for the 1st 3 miles. I didn't go out too fast like I did at the Turkey Trot but I ended up fading in the last couple of miles anyway. I need to do more speed work to get faster at this distance.

Post race
Warm down:

Waited for Tyra and Hunter to finish. They both did awesome. I ate some Clam Chowder, Yogurt and a Banana and then went to Starbucks for Coffee.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My lack a speed work which showed in the last couple of miles. I couldn't hold my pace.

Good fun local race. I would do it again.
