Bike
Comments: Felt pretty comfortable on bike, more prepared due to increased winter training, better gear changing, and able to attack on hills. What would you do differently?: Aero bars would have helped considering strong wind conditions, work on comfort level with intake of calories/fluids while on bike Transition 2
Comments: Didn't practice getting out of shoes prior to race, and didn't want to take a chance. I know I could easily trim 30 seconds or more here. Run
Comments: Had some cramping at the beginning of the run, so I wasn't able to push as I would have liked. Walked for a brief period going uphill to get my HR back down, able to run the remainder of the course. What would you do differently?: Train more at higher intensity Post race
Warm down: some stretching, banannas, soda & cookies What limited your ability to perform faster: rotator cuff tendonitis, less than adequate preparation/training, windy conditions Event comments: Lots of volunteers out on course, well organized.
