WOKE @ 0530 HRS., ATE PEANT BUTTER SANDWICH AND DRANK GATORADE.. ON METRO FROM HOTEL AND AT RACE BY 0615 HRS...BATHROOM (#1) THEN STRETCHED.....BAG LINE WAS CRAZY LONG, BUT GOT IT IN THEN SET UP IN CORAL..... GEL APPROX 15 MIN B4 START, READY TO GO !!!!! WAS LOOKIN FOR SUB 1HR 43 MIN...

I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH "MY" RUN AT ALL......BECAUSE OF THE COLD IT TOOK MAYBE A MILE TO WARM UP... THE COLD DID NOT SLOW ME DOWN..MY FINGERS WERE NUMB, BUT IT WENT AWAY...BY THE TIME I WAS AT THE CAPITAL I WAS ALL WARMED UP....THE RUN THROUGH THE MALL WAS GREAT..I HAD GREAT WIND AND FELT GOOD. APPROX. 1/2 WAY THROUG THE MALL I HAD TO GO TO THE BATHROOM (#2)...FROM MILE 2 THROUGH MILE 10 I WAS FIGHTING THE SHIT CRAMPS...NO JOKE I WAS DOIN ALL I COULD TO NOT GOIN IN MY PANTS..IT REALLY SLOWED ME DOWN..MY LEG FELT GREAT AND NO OTHER CRAMPS BUT THE SHIT CRAMPS (SUCKED) ALONG WITH THE (SHIT) CRAMPS THE HILLS WERE A CHALLENGE BUT GREAT, LOVED IT....@ MILE 10 WHERE THEY WERE KNOCKING DOWN THAT BUILDING I STOPPED TO GO #2 BECAUSE I ALMOST WENT IN MY PANTS...UNFORT. 5 MIN. STOP AT THE PORT A POTTY...AFTER DROPPING MY FRIENDS OFF I TURNED IT ON...THE LAT 3.1 MILES I PROB. RAN A 6.30 PACE....I FELT GREAT AND LITE AFTER GOING TO THE BATHROOM...I TOOK 1 OTHER GEL PROB. BETWEEN MILE 5-9.....IF I FELT LIKE I DID AFTER GOIN TO THE BATHROOM I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DONE 1 HR 35M - 1 HR 40M.... OTHER THEN MY BIG I LOVED THE RUN....
What would you do differently?:

I WOULD HAVE GONE #2 BEFORE THE RACE AND I WILL NEVER US GU GELS AGAIN..I THINK THEY MAKE ME SH`T...I USE THEM FROM TIME TO TIME ON TRAINING RUNS AND THE SAME THINGS HAPPENS.. BLOW AVERAGE RACE 4 ME, BUT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WOTH ANYTHING OTHER THEN INTERNAL ISSUES...

Course: FLAT THROUGH MALL AND SITES....AFTER MAKING LEFT TURN OFF MALL THE HILLS STARTED AND KEPT COMIN, BUT IT WAS A GREAT CHALLENEGE..BETWEEN MILES 5 AND 9 MAYBE 10 WERE ROLLING HILLS, TOUGH BUT FUN......
