Swim
Comments: Water was too cold for me to keep my head down. Never got into a groove. Had to side stroke much of it to keep from freeking out. The body felt fine but my face could not get used to it. What would you do differently?: I will never forget that swim Transition 1
Comments: Struggled to keep things smooth. Tried too hard to make up time and rushed. What would you do differently?: Make sure aero bottle is strapped in and cannot fall off. Bike
Comments: Lost entire aero bottle and tried to fix it as I petaled right off the bat. Stopped to pick it up and eventually gave up. Stupid! The overall bike was wonderful. I was shocked that I had the energy to push that hard that long. It got very humid and wet for a portion. Loved the group of guys that played pole position with. A lot of rolling hills and flats, we traded positions often. What would you do differently?: Make sure aero bottle is strapped in and cannot fall off. Transition 2
Comments: Really felt good about the bike and wanted to relax and continue to relax and be efficient Run
Comments: Hot Hot Hot by the time the run started. Felt good and comfortable. Did all I could. Had nothing more to give. Post race
Warm down: Felt great after finish. Very surprised. But then the delayed body crash as I packed up in transition. Walked over to med tent and slowly recovered. What limited your ability to perform faster: Never doing it before. Event comments: Long drive home. Last updated: 2009-03-24 12:00 AM
