Swim
Comments: lined up in the 10 min group. got out of water at exactly 10 min. long run from pool to TA What would you do differently?: If I could keep doing Free, would have been done in around 8 Transition 1
Comments: Couldn't find bike in TA. Wasted time What would you do differently?: Have paid attention to where the bike out was when I set up and chose TA spot Bike
Comments: past plenty of people on hills. lots of rough patches What would you do differently?: push myself harder Transition 2
Comments: had socks rolled up in shoes. used new laces. quick sip of gatorade. What would you do differently?: try taking off shoes while still on bike. Run
Comments: drank some HEED at first stop and made me want to puke. never again. What would you do differently?: never had practiced running after biking. push myself harder slow run Post race
Warm down: got a recovery shake. not sore at all afterwards. just tired from no sleep What limited your ability to perform faster: didnt know what to expect. truly needed to have had more to eat while waiting two hours to get into the pool. i had no energy in me by the time i actually started since i had to wait so long to swim. if i can just get more efficient at swimming I would have cut down quite a bit more time and would have had the energy to run 7:30 or faster miles. Event comments: Great way to start my Tri career and I just wish I had pushed myself a little harder to get main goal of sub 1:30 time but 1:31 is close enough for me. Lots of fun and great volunteers. Last updated: 2009-03-26 12:00 AM
