Got up at 4:30. Had some cheerios and coffee. Ate a powerbar and drank a gatorade on the ride to the race.

Great ride. I only had a mountain bike, so I was much slower than most. But I think I did okay for the bike I had. Went to change into 3rd gear and it sounded like my chain was about to slip off, so I stayed in 2nd the whole ride. I would have been faster have been able to change gears.
What would you do differently?:

Get a new bike!

Again, thought it would be faster. I had trouble getting my bike back on the rack, I was the last one in my line and had to squeeze it in.

First 10 minutes were okay. Then I lost my legs. I could not keep a cadence going. Had to walk more than a lot!

Pace myself better in the first run.

I was disappointed that the swim was cancelled, but definitely enjoyed it.
