Run
Comments: Did 5 & 1's (ran 5 min/walked 1 min). Tried to keep a nice even steady pace. What would you do differently?: Nothing. It is just a matter of training more. Post race
Warm down: No cooldown. Saw the very long line-up for the food. Quickly grabbed my bag from the bag check and stood in the line-up for food for quite a while. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to train more. This was a little unusual as it starts at 7 pm. I am used to training in the morning when it is cooler. Also, still addressing some thyroid issues. Hopefully this will be resolved in a few months :). Ran in my NB 1224's. Only started wearing them a few weeks ago. The balls of my feet just burned. Have worn this series for years and have never had an issue. Will try some new insoles? Event comments: Great food (burgers, hot dogs, fresh fruit, cookies, chips, etc.). A lot was already gone once I made it through the long line-up. Don't feel this is the fault of the organizers (saw people taking more than one burger or hot dog). I think the people who finish early should be mindful of the others still finishing. Lots of volunteers and the spectators were awesome. Lots of support from other runners. Overall, had a great time. Would definately do it again... Last updated: 2009-03-29 12:00 AM

Arrived really early because of traffic and to pick-up my race package. Had about 1 1/2 hours to kill.
Nice breeze before the race started. Seemed to die off before race time.
