Early Start up at 5am. Breakfast - fruit and raisin toast.
Drive 1.5 hours to race and set up with plenty of time

Comments:

Tried to concentrate more on technique rather than worrying about speed and where everyone else was. It seemed to pay off. Perfect swimming conditions helped as well.

Could have been slightly faster apart from a car turning in front of me and causing me to come to a near stand still. Lost a few seconds and needed a fair effort to get back up to speed.

Felt alright on the run. Best run time for the 5km so far. Still get passed by too many people Big winter of running ahead

Running off the bike is still my weak point. Could do with some improvement on the swim too.

Just need some portable toilets, the permanent ones are appalling by 8am.
