Comments: Improved over my last 5K time of 25:25. Used a different strategy and tried to keep a steady pace with a good kick at the end. I dont feel like I started my kick soon enough and probably could have finished under my goal of 25:00. Overall I was happy with the results. Had some knee pain after the race but it was gone by Monday morn. I think it was from running Friday night before race. What would you do differently?: Try to run a little quicker pace and start my kick a little sooner. My next 5K WILL BE UNDER 25:00. Post race
Warm down: Walked back to watch the rest of the team finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: No excuses today. Up at 6:00 a.m. Ate breakfast fo 4 egg whites, whole wheat toast, small bowl of cereal and skim milk. Drank a 5 Hour Energy Drink about 7:30 and then a small glass of powerade about 8:15.
