  • Comments: It was pretty cool but it's just too crowded. Being in an early corral helped. It's also SUPER pricey (I think the half was $165). I wouldn't do it again but I'm glad I did it !

  • Comments: 2476 out of 8600 men Garmin Data: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/249235055 RnR did a great job turning this race around from last year. However, I don't know if I'll do this again just due to the nature of it being an evening race and the additional expense of traveling to Las Vegas. If I do it again, I'll run the full so I get more miles for my dollars.

  • Comments: Not many people can say they've ran down the strip at night...well, at least not sober without any traffic in the way. Race was really fun and a cool experience. It was hard for me to get into a comfortable race mode in Vegas, but I dug the experience. I may not do it again, but I'm glad I was able to enjoy the experience.

  • Comments: Huge improvement from the RnR orgnization over last year's fiasco. Still some room to tweak it to become a better product but it was well run with plenty of volunteers, properly policed and spaced corrals, and more than enough water to go around. More gatorade and earlier GU station would be better. I think the nighttime novelty has worn off and they should return this to a morning race!

  • Comments: The event, while large and crowded, was well run. Things ran on time and the aid stations were well stocked. The event shirts were nice, as were the finisher's medals. The mylar blankets at the finish were welcomed as it was chilly and windy.

  • Comments: Competitor puts on a great race with their Rock n Roll series. I heard nightmares about the 2011 race, but they were top-notch this year and I thought everything about the race was handled with precision and professionalism. The finisher's chute is long before you can exit, making a longer walk back up the strip if your hotel is north, but I am not sure there is anything they can do to change this (it is what it is). This was my 22nd race in 21 events in 2011, and thankfully my last race of the calendar year. It was a good test of my endurance and stamina, as I was fatigued going in and worn down from a long year of racing. A top 100 finish in my AG under those circumstances is a small victory.
