  • Comments: Since I don't have a ton of experience with different race organizers I think they do a good job for this race. The volunteers are great, 3 aid stations on the bike, police officers at every intersection making the biking really safe for a non closed course. The run had aid stations every mile and they were great about yelling out what they had available ahead of time so you could yell back to them what you want before you even got there. The post race activities are a little lacking, but I don't know if that was because of the rain that came in or what? I considered myself pretty MOP, but it seems like they did the awards pretty quickly after I finished, I actually missed them because I had gone to my car to get more layers of clothing on. Overall though I think Without Limits does a great job on their races. I have done other races by them as well and always enjoy myself. Plus Aurora Reservoir has some really clear water, you can actually see others around you under water.

  • Comments: Without Limits took this over from Racaing Underground 1-2 years ago. Compared to Rattlesnake, this had less support. Only 6 porta-potties. Really only 2 aid stn on bike. 1 at 10 mile (turn) was also same aid stn at mile 45.5, had no water, Gatorade only. 1 at Mile ~30 entry to Bennett, had water. But one of their promotional bits is they try to economize, so this maybe wasn't out of character. Lots of police/state patrol on the bike course. Bike aides on motor cycles provided good support, I saw 3 people being assisted with tires. Choice of Wahoo fish tacos was great.

  • Comments: This was my first HIM and my goal was to do it around 6hrs. and I beat my goal by ~15min. so I was really happy! I felt good on the swim, bike, and run and felt I nailed my nutrition! The race was organized pretty well, but there should have been more porta-potties (6...are you kidding me??). Also, I thought the food at the end was kindof gross. It was cold and dry and just didn't taste good. My husband brought me a sandwich (thank god!) which I gobbled down! Also, I think they should have had more "security" in the transition area for after the race. My dad was able to walk right in, grab my bike, and leave. There was noone making sure the bikes leaving were with their rightful owners. It kindof made me worried b/c there were alot of nice tri bikes there that could have easily been stolen! The great thing though was the amount of support on the run...great aid stations and great volunteers! I will definitely keep this race in mind for next year!

  • Comments: This was a really fun race. The volunteers were fantastic, I can't thank them enough, and there was lots of support out there. The conditions didn't cooperate but thats just bad luck. I've never been challenged on so many levels, and am extremely proud of how I came through it all.
