  • Comments: I had such a blast hanging out with Amy in the days leading up to the race. This sport still amazes me in the wonderful friendships I have formed in the name of racing and training. I'm excited for Amy to go sub 11, it's just around the corner for her! This year I am reminded of what makes Ironman special for me..you can lose your job, your spouse, your house....all 3 of which have happened to me in the past 9 months. However, my Ironman finishes are something I carry in my heart and are something special I can never lose. To Michael you were may inspiration for this race, keep fighting!! Thank you to those who continue to inspire me through my training and for those who have contributed to my fundraising. One more Ironman to go this season.....there's a PR with my name on it in Tempe :)

  • Comments: Could not find ANY food anywhere after the race, not that I was really all that hungry but a slice of pizza would have been good, but other than that this was a pretty well run race. The bike and particularly the run courses were a little boring, so I'm not sure I would do this race again. But Rev3 does a great job, so I would definitely consider one of their other races in the future. The sting of my failure in this race is going to sit with me for a long time, but I'll be at Ironman Wisonsin next year to get my revenge!

  • Comments: Since its been a few days since the race, I've had time to digest the fact that I didn't put up the performance I know that I am capable of. But who cares? This race put to rest all of the crap that I've had to go through over the last several years. Divorce, moving to 3 different states, getting laid off twice, cancer scare #2... its all over. I've finally been able to get my life in order so that I can do the one thing that's been on my list for 3 years. There wasn't anything that would have kept me from toeing that line. I can't say enough good things about this race!!! Everything was perfectly excuted (although I could have done with less buoys on the swim). The little touches made this race so awesome. Running through the finishers banner was so great! And last, but not least, a big fat thank you to Jon for being the best sherpa EVER. He spent the entire summer giving up his weekends to ride with me or wait for me, listen to me bitch, cry, whine, moan, etc. He got up

  • Comments: Great race. Any first time race has its bugs but this group did a fanastic job. Dealing with possibly having to shift the swim course, to bouys being blow accross Lake Erie to Canada, to chip sealing the roads, this crew dealt with alot of adversity and put out a great product. Having a race a Cedar Point was a thing of genius. The organization went way ou of their way to make it a great experience including the announcer acually acting as a bike mechanic and changing out a racers wheel which had been damaged in T1, so they could finish their first IM. Grat showing from the pros to. Finally (As a huge NASCAR fan I've always wanted to do this) I need thanks my sponsors. Team Trakkers for the great support and the Trakkers devices, Kestral Bikes for my awesome Talon Tri SL, Sauconey for making the best and most comfortable pair of running shoes I run in for a marathon, to SBR for Tri-Slide and Foggle which allowed me to see and did a great job keeping the blisters away, to First

  • Comments: This was Rev3's first full distance, and I think they did a heroic job. My only comment in the negative is that they may have overpromised on the spectator-friendly stuff, with regards to the actual race. Trakkers didn't come through, the chip time splits were showing up weird on the Web, video was only of the pros, or so it seemed to my family, and the promised computer kiosks to check on racers on the course were either not there or not obvious. But seriously, it is hard to put on something like this. They did great. From a participant perspective, it was near-perfect.

  • Comments: It was great to finish this, but now I'm upset with myself for beign such a slacker. The final 6 weeks of training consisted of 4-5 swims. 2 100 mile rides, and a couple 6 mile runs a week.

  • Comments: I had great few days hanging out with good friends. It was fun to race, but spending time with people that share the same passion and dreams is special. There really is an amazing connection in the triathlete community. Abbie - Thanks for being such a good roomie!! :-) Tons of fun! You are my hero! I had a great time hanging out. We had so many good stories to share!!! This was the first full ironman for Rev3. Nice job for their first race. I anticipate many improvement for their future ironman races.

  • Comments: This was by far the best race I've ever done. Rev3 is incredible. They did a tremendous job of organizing the race and making sure that everything went smoothly. They had lots of little touches that really made this enjoyable, little things like having pans of water to rinse your feet off inside T1 and having that banner at the finish line. That last bit was such a little thing but meant so much. They treated everyone coming across that finish line like they were the winner. An incredible, excruciatingly painful, tortuous, and awesomely exhilarating experience.

  • Comments: Revolution3 really has it going on and they are only going to get better. I'm incredibly impressed with how well they are doing and they have really great people running their organization and media. They need some help with their web management and social media experiences but they have awesome potential to do great things for the Triathlon community. It was exciting to hear how thrilled Cedar Point management was to have us there and that they are so excited to work out annual events! As more events happen in that community the support will definitely grow quickly. I am very glad to have been a part of the first Full Rev and if I choose to do more Iron-distance events (and am not focusing on KQing) then I'd go with a Rev3 event for sure.

  • Comments: I think it is great that are alternatives to the IM brand. This was the inaugural event and I think Rev3 and all the volunteers did a heck of a job.

  • Comments: Man... Rev3 and the Community of Sandusky were just AWESOME. I can't imagine it being any better, and this was the first year!!! Big leap from Knoxville in my opinion. It was crazy, everybody in the entire city treats you like a rock star as soon as they see that red band around your arm... so amazing and supportive. Some of the really cool things I saw / heard about. - An athlete broke some spokes early on the bike... as he was sitting on the side of the road, race over, One of the Multisport Ministries guys rode by... he GAVE UP his Wheel (and his race) so the other guy could finish... now that's some sacrifice there. - Another guy had a bent rim (as in, wouldn't spin through the frame) and was given another wheel by a fellow competitor so he could race. - Bjorn... man, that dude was literally chasing down the cop on the motorcycle in front of him. - All the Ladies... you were all beautiful! Even throwing up on the side of the road... (not to call anyone out, but I
