Comments: The venue is really cool for spectators. Better than CdA by a long shot, which I already consider a good spectator race. The thing is, in Calella the beach access is so easy. It's all like this:
That road and railroad you see... have tunnels going underneath. So everyone can walk to the beach while the race is going on without waiting for crossings.
The beach itself is wide and has restaurants along its length.
This is just a great place for a race and I'm glad I got a chance to participate. I had also signed up for CdA this year and decided at the last minute not to start, due to the heat wave. So I was really keeping my fingers crossed for a good race here. The weather was perfect and it was a big PR for me, on my 8th IM finish.
