  • Comments: This was an excellent day for me and a good learning experience. I raced faster then 2 years ago yet dropped out of contention. I had expected to be top 3 and to end up 7th was a bit hard at first. But I remind myself, as I do my kids and athletes, I do this for personal accomplishment and if I hit my goals I leave the rest in God's hands. This was a great opportunity to practice what I preach!! So I did have a great day. There was a quiet sense of satisfaction that came with it and I was very happy. I was particularly happy because of my back injury and general strife and stress of life lately. This was a sweet time, an act of worship, thank you God!
