Comments: I've been doing this race since 2012 and I unfortunately suffered an injury this year on July 7 - which happens to be the deferral cutoff date. I emailed CGI at 7am Monday morning explaining my situation and asking for a deferral to next year. The repeated response is that because it is past the cutoff, I am out of luck and should have purchased race insurance. I've been competing for 11 year now and I've never come across an organization that treats athletes like a number and nothing more until now. I'm hoping they can help me out and show some good will, especially since I recruited about 10 family and friends to start doing this race a few years back, as well as my swim and bike clubs. Until then, I can't bring myself to pay an organization like this again to compete.

Comments: CGI runs excellent races. The atmosphere was so much fun from beginning to end. They are exceptionally well-organized and keep everything fun and lively. The course was great, too. I usually shy away from events that cost three figures, but this one was totally worth it. It will make it onto my summer calendar every year from now on.
