Comments: The race is getting an average rating mostly due to the spirit of the event. The course, execution, support and facilities are excellent. No doubting. But the buzz before start is virtually nil. The racers seem a very serious bunch and the finish line experience is poor. Wrong or no names called for finishers. Post run food is miles away. The announcer need some pep pills and to be better informed.
Plenty of calls for 'positive vibes' to send the clouds away but not a word about what we would do in case of lightening (which could be seen in the distance). Bloody YMCA played to get the crowd pumped up on the start line? Sheesh.
