  • Comments: This was only my third triathlon after two local sprints so I was a little wide-eyed as I viewed this as my first "big race." I would have to say that it lived up to expectations. The turnout was huge compared to my other races. All the gear and swag had a feel of being a much higher level race. The event was well organized and laid out well given the constraints of the Rockwall Harbor area. More experienced triathletes might not have been as impressed as I was, but this race made me feel like I was participating in a big event for the first time. Pretty cool. Will do it every year, but will likely step up to the OLY distance. Sprint course was great though.
