• Comments: Wow, just an amazing event. I now see why it is so hard to get a place in this race. I keep reaching for superlatives after doing fantastic events, but this one is as good as it gets. And for £35 it’s a steal (… that’s for the locals, of course; adding in flights, London hotels etc. makes it a bit of a luxury item). Setting aside the cost of travel, the commitment of marathon training, etc., I’d do this again in a heartbeat. And the standards are so high. My time would have placed me 4th in my AG in Marine Corps last year (field of 23,000 finishers), but in London (36,000 finishers) it put me 68th in M45-49. Robin’s 3:01 put him 328th in M40-44. That’s depth.
