  • Comments: This is a pretty good race and this was my 2nd year in a row running it. They have some post-race BBQ grub included in your entry and you also get 2 beers from the beer garden. I was pretty tired after the race, so I didn't stick around for the beers, but the BBQ was pretty good. There was also a DJ there playing music. There were plenty of volunteers and they all did a great job cheering on the competitors. Definitely a race I would do again.

  • Comments: It was a pretty decent race. That's saying a lot given the fact that it was FREEZING at the start of the race. Who expects 57 degree weather in the middle of July?! The bike course was pretty well marked with a good number of volunteers. The run course was in a very low traffic area, which was nice. Free BBQ and two free beers from the "beer garden" were a nice perk! I even got to meet former Kona winner and member of the Triathlon Hall of Fame, Karen Smyers!
