  • Comments: This is a hard one, because it seems like this race has so much potential. I absolutely love Grand Haven...it's such a beautiful area. But the swim is very risky...three years and they haven't had a full swim yet. The bike course is amazing but open to traffic on a fairly busy road. The run is just blah. They say it's a fantastic course...are you kidding me? Then there's the long run between swim and bike. I don't know. I'm just not sure I'll be back. Oh - and they advertised (and I double checked on Saturday) that they'd have Hammer Gel out on the course. No go. So I was left out on the run with no nutrition. Wasn't happy about that. On the plus side, the volunteers were AWESOME!!

  • Comments: Great, great volunteers. Really pretty area but the run course needs some working on. Its too bad that they have had hard luck witht the swim. A race 24 hours ealier and it would have been perfect. What can you do?
