Comments: Prairie Spirit 100 is not for everybody. The course is essentially like running on a small flat, straight dirt road straight out for 50 miles and then straight back. In addition, it is liked on both sides by scrub trees most of the time so it's also very much like a tunnel. It is an exceptionally boring course and, in my opinion, the manned aid stations are too far apart, usually in the ballpark of 9 to 10 miles between aid with unmanned water stations in between. However, the race is pretty well organized and everyone was both friendly and helpful. It's also a very small race so if you like that then there it is. This is really only a race I would recommend for someone who had specific reasons for wanting to do a really flat, straight or "boring" run. Maybe in preparation for a times race on a track or something. Glad I did it, won't go back, won't do any similar race. Nice buckle.
