  • Comments: The weather was fantastic, albeit a bit cold in the beginning - 53 degrees! But it warmed up quickly. I think this race and course were really great and I would do it again, but there are some things that need to be changed. One, the start time was way too early for the end of September. 6:30 is before the sunrises and I'm not sure if they didn't think of that beforehand, but they ended up starting 15 late because of that fact. If the sun rises at 6:46 then have a start time at 7.. much safer for the lake swim. Two, there needs to be lights in the transition area! It was so dark (again, because of the before sunrise start) that it was very hard to see. Third, they wouldn't let the sprinters get our stuff until about 2 hours after we finished. They didn't want anyone interrupting the olympic race, but there has to be a better way to figure this out then having us all wait around for two hours. The bathroom situation was fantastic. The course was great. One road was extremely bumpy.. hard
