  • Comments: Saw race belt with slots for gels...worth trying. Beautiful weather. Like having a network of folks out there doing the same stuff I'm doing. There is an inspirational aspect to connecting with people at events, hearing what they are doing, getting good ideas, starting to redefine self in new context. Not a great conversationalist on a run. G and I settle into silence. Wish I could have been more entertaining for A. I think of Sunday runs as spiritual time. Whatever drives people to go to church, shul, etc. I address while running. I try to empty my mind, be thankful to be alive, and be in the moment. I am very internally driven, and entertained. Need to look outward. Still don't have the competitive "hunt them down" instinct. G said he got us from point to point at the end by doing this. I just know my breathing was heavier, my knee started to hurt, and that I could surely do another 10 minutes or so of what we were doing... Finish line always simply relief.
