Comments: This race is my yearly barometer of fitness. It was really nice to finally crack the top spot in a very competitive clydesdale division (I know...it is like winning a trip to Beirut). I posted a 6 minute PR on the course. Probably would be 4 minutes with a legit swim. The rest of the distances were +2 minute PRs on the course. Took a more relaxed approach to the race and attempted to use a little taper to regain some extra stregnth for the day. Seems to have paid off. Weight loss is HUGE. Went into the race weighing about 10 pounds less than last year (still at 223). Need to drop another 20.
