• Comments: When I first got invited to this race I thought "3 hour drive for a pool swim tri? Why?" But I had a blast and really enjoyed the fellowship with my new group of friends. As hard as we raced there was still a whole group of guys faster than us taking all of the hardware. It was a reminder that this sport is about so much more than just trying to make "top 3" Considering that I burned out on this sport in 2003 I'm trying to remind myself to enjoy the ride of all of the training and racing as opposed to getting mad that I didn't run the race 45 seconds faster than I did.
