Swim:
The 1.2 mile swim is an out and back course in spring-fed lake Waramaug. These calm waters are warm, but definately wetsuit legal.
Bike:
This 56 mile course takes you through picturesque Litchfield County - providing stunning views of lakes, land perserves and various farms. The course is two loops. The first 9 or-so miles are fairly flat, then comes the rolling middle section. Most climbs are shallow, with a few short, steep ones thrown in. No climbs exceed a 7 or 8% grade and the longest is about 1/4 mile long. All very do-able for newbies and experienced racers. The final miles of the bike course are flat and should prep your legs for the run!
Run: Flat and fast, the 13.1 mile run travels the quiet, shaded roads around Lake Waramaug. The two loop course is great for spectating and taking splits.
