• Description: The Texas Round Up is a footrace that provides a target and an incentive to those pursuing a healthier lifestyle. A cornerstone event of Texas Gov. Rick Perry's health and wellness initiative for Texan's, the Texas Round Up showcases a number of health related initiatives. 2013 will be the 10th annual Texas Round Up event and approximately 3000 participants are expected.
  
  All events start and finish on N. Congress Ave. directly in front of The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, between 17th and 18th streets. The 5K course starts out heading towards the Texas State Capitol, but then heads north and around portions of the University of Texas campus before finishing on N. Congress with the capitol in the background.
