• Description: The BLACK BEAR TRIATHLON will be held on the University of Maine at Orono campus. Athletes will self seed when registering based on their estimated time for a 525 yard swim. Swim waves of sixteen athletes in eight lanes will begin in the Wallace Indoor Pool. This is followed by a 12.5 mile bike that takes athletes into Old Town, then turning and coming back the same route to UMaine. Finish this amazing event off with a 3.1 mile (5K) run through the fields and trails adjacent to the campus, which brings athletes to a roaring finish!
