- Description: Getting to this race is as outstanding as the course itself. Hop on the Washington State ferry and enjoy the beauty of the Puget Sound. The race will start at Dockton Park with an 800m swim in Quartermaster Harbor which routinely measures at 65 degrees in open salt water. Once transferring to your bike, you head up an ascent that leads you to some awesome single track mountain bike trails and one of a kind views of the Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier and Tacoma. Keep an eye out for an eagle or two as you complete three loops of this trail for a total of 14 miles. The trailhead for the run heads up a low grade ascent into another set of trails for single track running. You will make two loops on the top of this course and then head back down to finish the 3.5 miles and enjoy 'end of race' island hospitality. You must be able to finish within 3 hours.
