• Description: Tom Wales was president of Washington CeaseFire at the time of his shooting death in October 2001. The annual Tom Wales Memorial 5k (3.1 miles) run/walk and the 1/2-mile kids' dash was established in Tom's memory and is dedicated to all victims of gun violence.
