  Following the success of the inaugral running of Half Ireman back in 2007, we're back in Groomsport once again for Northern Ireland's only middle distance triathlon. A 1.9k, two lap, sea swim starts the day - transition is only 5 metres from the beach and then it's out onto the fast, relatively flat, bike section. A three lap 90k bike leg brings competitors back past the village at the end of each lap before heading for T2. After T2, the two lap, multi-terrain run route takes in road, trail, grass and sand in varying amounts. The finish line will be at the harbour adjacent to the transition area.
