• Description: This year, due to construction on Rezanof from the “Y” to the top of Marine Way, the Pillar Mountain Race will begin at the Teen Center and finish at Pier Two. The course goes up Pillar Mountain Road, follows the trail along the top, goes down a rugged trail on the west side into Swampy Acres, and back on Rezanof to the finish at Pier Two. Course records: Marcus Dunbar 53:14.9, 1998; Kristi Klinnert 57:29, 1987. Entry fee is $10. Custom medals to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in five different men’s and women’s age groups. Awards and T-shirts presented at 4 p.m. at the Teen Center.
