• Description: The 12 th annual Olde Tyme Peach Festival 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, rain or shine. The 3.1-mile event starts at 8 a.m. from Everett Meredith Middle School, runs through the Sharondale neighborhood, south on Del. 71, west on St. Ann’s Church Road and back. A Kids Fun Run begins at 7:50 a.m.
  The cost to enter the 5K is $15 until Aug. 11, and $18 afterward. The Kids Fun Run costs $6. Registration can be done online at www.active.com or on race day. Make checks payable and mail to Premier Physical Therapy, 200 Cleaver Farm Rd., Suite 400, Middletown, De., 19709.
  Awards are given for overall male and female winners, and top three male and female runners in 10-year age groups starting with 10 and under thru 60 and over. Walk awards are given to top three male and female finishers.
  T-shirts will be given to the first 150 entrants. Post-race food and beverages will be available.
  The event is sponsored by Premier Physical Therapy & Sports Performance and the Middletown Athletic Club. The Middletown Athletic Club and Downstate Striders will manage the finish line.
  Proceeds benefit the Middletown High All-Sports Boosters scholarships for athletes who have displayed exemplary sportsmanship.
