  • Description: Be a HERO! Join members of the Portland Police and Fire Bureaus in raising money for the Alyssa Malchow Breast Cancer Fund. The funds provide community outreach and education to inform the medical community and the public that breast cancer can, and does, strike women under the age of 40.     Under east end of the Hawthorne Bridge continuing south along the Waterfront to the Spring Water Corridor Trail. Out & Back course.

    TIMING
    This race will be timed using the Champion Chip Timing System. All runners will be assigned a Timing Chip (small black disk found in your packet) to be worn on the running shoe. You MUST wear a Timing Chip to receive results. All Timing Chips must be returned at the finish line.

    AGE GROUPS
    Competition will be held for the 5K run event for the following men's and women's age groups: 12 years & under, 13- 15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 years and over

    AWARDS
    Awards will be presented, at the conclusion of each race, to the Overall Male and Female finishers, and the top Master Male and Female finishers. The top three male and female finishers in each age division will also receive a commemorative award. In addition, awards will be presented to the top Male and Female Police and Firefighter finishers.

    POST RACE PARTY
    Join us for post race festivities, which will include food, music, and lots of fun.
