• Description: This event benefits the National Foundation for Cancer Research and is scheduled for January 17th 2009 at Bond Park. We’re expecting this inaugural race to be a huge success.
  
  Panther Creek High School’s DECA Chapter has organized the event from start to finish helping a teacher at the school raise money for this cause. Three seniors – Meaghan Roach, Lindsay Royek, and Franky Sykes – make up the Frozen 5K Planning Committee.
  
  Two members of the local communities have made it their mission to support the foundation by racing in the Florida Ironman in November of 2009. They are Brian Johnson – a technology teacher at Panther Creek High School in Cary , North Carolina – and Chris Aycock – a Structural Designer at KCI Technologies in Raleigh , North Carolina.Frozen 5K will support this cause to its fullest potential.
  
  The goal for this 5K run is to raise money to support the ongoing research to find a cure or more advanced treatments for various cancers.. This fundraiser will also provide an opportunity for local sponsors to increase awareness about their business by supporting this cause. We invite you to join us for this opportunity to team with the National Foundation for Cancer Research for this event.
