• Description: The 1/2 mile triangular swim will take place in Mirror Lake. Mirror Lake is an example of a kettle hole; a deep pond that formed when the last glacier to cover New England slowly melted away. The lake is fed via an aquifer that continually fills the lake with a fresh supply of water.
  
  The Bike leg is a 10-mile, 2-loop bike course around the Devens Community. The course is gently rolling. Spectators will be able to see their athletes ones while looping the Mirror Lake area.
  
  The 2.9 mile run course will leave the transition area and head down the hill towards the beach. The course will then follow a beautiful hard packed path up a hill to the back side of the old Fort Devens housing area. At the top of the path, athletes will turn left onto Sheriden Rd, bear right onto Salerno Circle which turns into Shiloh, then onto Marne. At the end of the road, turn left onto Patton with Mirror Lake on your left, through to the finish line!
