• Description: 1500 meter swim in Lake Inawashiro which is the fourth largest lake in Japan. It is also known as the "Sky Mirror Lake" and the water is very clear. The bike leg runs 40 kilometers from Lake Inawashiro to the Aizu University campus. There is about 300 meters drop in elevation between the start and finish points of the bike course. The 10 kilometer run is on a mostly flat course that loops twice around the Aizu University campus. A little over 400 athletes attended the race in 2008. The event in 2009 marks the 11th occurrence of the race.
