- Description: The Carol Mulloy Cuttle Aloha Classic 5K Road Race is a living memorial to Carol,
a graduate of Bridgewater State College’s Class of 1982. As a student, Carol was very involved with the Children’s Physical Developmental Clinic where she served as a Group Leader her senior year. Carol’s professional and personal commitment to exceptional children and young people fostered during her years at Bridgewater remained central in her life. Upon graduation, she worked for the Easter Seal Society of Hawaii as a teacher of deaf/blind youngsters, contributing to the name “Aloha Classic.” She returned to the Boston area in 1986 and worked for the South Shore Association for Retarded Citizens while pursuing and completing a master’s degree in deaf/blind studies at Boston College. She later was employed as a teacher at the Mayflower Pediatric Nursing Home in Plymouth, once again, working with young people with various physical and cognitive disabilities. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Carol Mulloy Cuttle Memorial Scholarship Fund. The income from the fund will be used to benefit BSC student clinicians or group leaders participating in the Children’s Physical Development Clinic Program on campus. The clinic provides services to disabled & handicapped children from the greater Eastern Massachusetts area. The Hyannis Bridgewater Physical Education Alumni Association volunteers their services annually to ensure the success of this event.
