- Description: Oh, spring time in Seattle - what a great time of year. For most of us, that means it's time to pull the 16 speed out of the garage, give it a good dusting, grease up the gears and get on the trails! Celebrate the cycling season this spring with the Redhook Ale Brewery’s 15th annual Haul Ash - Tour De Brew, on Sunday, May 16th.
The Forecaster's Pub at Redhook opens at 8AM for day-of regristration and for riders to pick-up their goody bag of Haul Ash collectables, which includes a commemorative Haul Ash T-Shirt & Pint Glass, Redhook Bike Bell, and 2 Drink Tickets, redeemable at the midway point or after-party for Redhook brew.
The roundtrip bike ride begins at 9AM here at the brewery in Woodinville and journeys along the scenic Burke-Gilman trail to the midway point on Nickerson St. in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood. After refreshing up with a cold Redhook brew and watching boats pass through the ship canal, riders cruise on back to the brewery for the after-party - 41 beautiful roundtrip miles in all. Redhook recommends using your new bell on the trail and the verbal warning "Haulin' Ash on your left!" when passing. Remember, safety first.
This year's Haul Ash after-party in our grassy Bowl will feature live music from Seattle's favorite Beatles group, Creme Tangerine! They'll be playing all of the classic Beatles hits from 12:30PM-3PM. Entry to the after-party is included in your rider registration fee. The after-party is also open to the public, and all-ages, with a suggested entry donation of $5. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization Bike Works. So riders, invite your family and friends to spend the afternoon with you to enjoy the music and brew!
Pre-registration is $27 and day-of registration is $35. For more event info and to register, download the Registration Packet here. Completed registration forms can be mailed in, faxed to 425-485-0761, or scanned and emailed to [email protected].
A big thanks to our good friends and neighbors over at Mackie for providing amazing HD sound gear for the after-ride party and to Bike Works for providing racks for bike parking at the midway point!
