• Description: The Kirkby Malzeard 10k starts from the center of the village and follows quite country lanes to Laverton, the route is undulating and the weather is always warm for this race, if not hot.
  
  The Race Headquarters are at the Mechanics Institute.
  
  This has never been a course for fast times, but there is always a welcome for all runners by the locals, and there is a fine after race tea, just before the prize giving.
