- Description: This race will be truly an amazing Maine experience, complete with full historic notes of the amazing course. Racers will run and cycle amid century old mills, along the rivers and canals, the story of water power and across fields and valleys that will inspire a strong finish.
Distances: 3 mile run, 14 mile bike, 3 mile run to finish line. Also available is a kids fun run for ages 10 and under, the TEXTILE TROT. Please come connect the generations for a strong finish for all!
Run 1: Leave Simard-Payne park and run along side century old mills, receive behind the scene tour as you race in and around their historic plazas, grab your power from the river as you run by the mightiest of rivers in our state – race by century old businesses that have persevered over decades. There will be one water stop on route.
Bike: Bike along the river. Route is a challenging course with long flats for speed and rolling terrain for technique. Scenic and safe this course is sure to provide inspiration. Please be sure to bring your own hydration for the bike. There are no water stops on the bike route.
Run 2: Leave transition and run over a century old trellis bridge and through park terrain on a run course free of cars. Travel across the river to Auburn, Maine where you’ll run as fast as the river flows over the great falls-the falls that fueled our economy for over a century. There will be one water stop on route.
