  • Description: The Long Course race is truly “Made in Montana!” And we utilize the natural terrain outside of Bozeman to create a memorable course. The 1.2 mile swim features three laps around the pond with a beach run transition between each lap. Racers love mixing things up a bit and the crowd really gets into the excitement of seeing the racers each lap. The bike ride is a 56 mile out and back following Bridger Canyon Drive as it traverses the eastern side of the Bridger Mountains over Battle Ridge Pass. Spectacular mountain views will take some of the pain out of the climbs. The ride features long, steady up and down grades, punctuated by a few solid climbs. If you have a larger cluster, you may want to bring it! We will have five aid stations along the bike course. The run is a lollipop loop in the Bridger foothills. Mostly level terrain and then a few solid climbs, followed by a long downhill and flats will turn you into a true Montanan! We support the run with aid stations every 1 to 2 miles, so you will never be far from a cool towel, water, and nutrition. The run is about 80% on paved surfaces.
