• Description: The bike course will begin at the Palmer Pool, head East on to Arctic and connect with the Glenn Hwy, the course will turn North on Palmer-Wasilla, follow West on 49th State St. and then continue East on the new Bogard Extension. Bikers will proceed to Hemmer Road for a second loop, continuing to the Palmer-Wasilla, 49th State, returning back to the pool via Bogard Blvd. Maps of the course will be provided in race bags. Bikers and runners are advised to stay on the bike path at all times – Mountain bikes with studded tires or fat tires are highly recommended. The swim will be at the Palmer Pool, the 600yds swim will be 12 laps and the timing for the swim will begin as soon as the swimmer enters the swim lane. Participants will have 10 minutes in the transition area; any transition times longer than 10 minutes will result in added penalty minutes to over-all time. The pool will be open at 9am to set up your transition gear.
